Once upon a time there was a girl called Ruth who made up lots of stories Some stories were extreme such a big shark in the bath As Ruth is constantly making up stories her mother does not believe her, when Ruth does tell the truth her mother just assumes it is not true until she see s the spider Ruth warned her about climbing up her chair This book is humourous as when Mum see s the spider she told Ruth off for not telling her, even though she did From here on, they agree on how to distinguish Ruth stories from the truth I did enjoy this book as at the end of the book there are puzzles to solve, which get the reader involved A picture puzzle to allow the reader to put the storyline in order of the lie s told by Ruth which sums up the story, I would reccomend this book to those able to read 1 2 sentences a page The illustrations are large and allow the reader to recognize longer words such as dinosaur This book would be great for a whole class to read together as there is a good moral to the story.
